New! Easy to Navigate Reference Book for Swagelok Valves
by Katie Dennis on Wed, Mar 11, 2015 @ 08:03 AM
Handy publication puts wealth of valve information at your fingertips in the field
Our newest Installer's Pocket Guide for Swagelok Valves (pictured above) is available for customers in our sales & service location. Request your copy here!
The best data in the world won't do you any good if you don't have access to it. For installers in the field who need information on valves, it may not be practical to lug around our large Swagelok product binder. We also offer the full product catalogue online, and even an iPad app, but we know it's not always possible to use electronic devices in some work areas.
Lloydminster Account manager Dell Martens noticed the gap and thought of a way to fill it.
"We've had a mini-catalogue on our tube fittings available for years. Customers are always asking for them," he says. "The next logical step was to make one for valves. It's something that can fit in your glove compartment."
Packed with data
Our 72-page Installer’s Pocket Guide for Swagelok®Valves has data and ordering information on all types of Swagelok Valves.
Let's say you need to look up our 40G Series one-piece instrumentation ball valves. You'll find a quick run-down on working pressure, temperature range, size range, materials, and catalogue reference number. Then there are easy-to-read tables of ordering information, including available sizes of end connections, plus all the ordering numbers are there as well.
The same kind of information is there for the full range of valves and it’s easy to navigate as it’s sorted by function: flow control (needle valves); on/off control (ball/plug valves); directional control (check valves); over-pressure protection (relief valves), and instrument isolation. You also get special notes on applications and operations.
We've included a short glossary of terms (can you define "flow coefficient" without looking?) and a few pages for you to take your own field notes.
Eye opener
Having a wide range of valves in one handy publication can be an eye-opener. Even some longtime customers don't realize all the different kinds of Swagelok valves available. If that makes you wonder what else of interest might be in the Swagelok line, the pocket guide is ready for you. It includes a page of reference numbers for other Swagelok catalogues, including filters, measurement devices, Pre-Engineered Subsystems and welding systems. Plus if you do have access to swagelok.com, we have provided a quick tutorial on how to search for the product catalogues.
And, yes, the guide really does fit in a good-size pocket. You can get one just for the asking by heading to this page (please note that Edmonton Valve can only distribute this document to those in our authorized sales & service territory).
