We have made available more than 130 interactive industrial training courses online, known collectively as Swagelok University. Here's a short sample that covers the correct procedure for reassembling a Swagelok tube fitting. Every Swagelok University course has a Continuing Education Unit value, so this is also a convenient way to meet your CE requirements quickly and easily.

Bundle up

If you aren't sure what to start with from that full list, we have a few suggestions. We have bundled various courses for specific industries and product groups. The bundles contain all of the relevant coursework on a particular product or technical topic, and you can sign up with a single ordering number.

For example, our Plant Operations bundle addresses the complexities of operating a process sampling operation. You'll cover fluid system principles and components as you explore the science of heat, gases, flowing liquids, and corrosion. Several courses focus on furnaces, boilers, and heat exchangers. You'll also learn how to treat water, dispose of waste properly, and keep a healthy respect for oxygen. The 22 courses take a total of 14.5 hours, and you'll end up with 1.4 continuing education credits.

Don't need a whole bundle of classes? That's not a problem. You can sign up for individual classes too.

So don't let the word "university" scare you off. You won't have to pull any all-nighters to finish the courses. The longest is designed to be completed in only 75 minutes, and most can be done in a half-hour or less.

Three ways to sign up

Signing up is easy, and there are three ways you can do it.

(1) The standard way is to start a paid subscription through Swagelok.com. (2) Or you can centralize purchasing for multiple people at your organization at a single location. (3) Or Swagelok can load courses onto your company's Learning Management System or Linking Learning Management Systems.

While you can take the classes right at your own desk, you never have to feel like you are on your own at Swagelok University. Administrators can track learner progress, assign due dates and create reports.
